This event is not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18.
For the safety of the participants, the event will be monitored by a member of staff to immediately shut down any negative interaction. This is a poetry gathering and our participants may be sharing some very personal experiences—taking care of one another is the most important thing. Our performers might say or do things we wouldn’t say or do to each other, but we don’t want to hinder their story. So, let’s agree to be caring and respectful of each other. We hope to foster an environment of sharing, mutual respect, and the power of the spoken word.
