Description
Join Idaho Young Birders Club for a bird walk at Hulls Gulch Reserve in Boise. Intended for ages 25 and under.
Event Details
This bird walk is beginner-friendly and binoculars will be provided if needed. We will travel up to 2 miles on dirt trails with some inclines. We will park at the end of North Ninth Street. There is a pit toilet restroom at the Foothills Learning Center parking lot nearby (not where we will be parking!), but no bathrooms at the parking location or along the trails we will walk.
This event is intended for ages 25 and under but parents and/or guardians are welcome to accompany minors. If you are accompanying a minor please count yourself as a participant so that we do not exceed our participant limit!
Hulls Gulch reserve is a great place to see raptors, Red-winged Blackbirds, sparrows, and if we're lucky, Anna's Hummingbirds!
Please bring water, any snacks you want, and binoculars if you have them.
Trip Leader: Martin Cuntz
Martin is a field trip leader for IYBC. He is a Boise State University Student studying biology and he has been birding since he was 11!
